Downtown Discovery: Paws & Parks

Get ready for a day packed with furry friends, fresh air, and downtown fun! Paws & Parks combines the charm of Iowa City’s downtown with plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and connect with the community.
We’ll kick off the adventure at Kitty Corner Social Club, one of downtown’s newest and most popular spots, where campers will spend time with friendly cats in a cozy, welcoming space that’s quickly become a local favorite.
Next, campers will put their problem-solving skills to the test with an exciting Downtown Scavenger Hunt, exploring the iconic Ped Mall and its surrounding gems.
For lunch, we’ll head over to Camp Iowa City for a private pizza party, where campers can relax, recharge, and play some fun group games in a space just for them — in partnership with Scouts Honor Pizza.
The afternoon will be all about outdoor adventure as we visit a few of downtown’s nearby parks, giving campers plenty of time to play, enjoy nature, and cap off a day filled with friends, movement, and memories.

Early drop (8:30am) and late pickup (4:30pm) is available for $10.
GoldCap staff will meet parents outside of Merge to assist with pick-up and drop-off. Following registration, additional materials will be emailed to gather additional information about each student, and provide specific information about drop-off, pick-up and/or additional logsitics as needed.
