Small-Group Tutoring: Math & Literacy

GoldCap is expanding its tutoring program to include small-group math and literacy support led by experienced educators.

These sessions are designed for students who benefit from structured guidance, skill-building, and encouragement while learning alongside peers.

Unlike many tutoring programs, GoldCap groups are led by professional educators and supported by College of Education students, allowing us to maintain small group sizes and personalized attention.

Each session is designed to reinforce foundational skills, build confidence, and help students develop stronger academic habits.

Our tutoring groups support students with

• Math skills and problem-solving
• Reading and literacy development
• Homework support and study strategies
• Building academic confidence

Sessions will take place weekday evenings in downtown Iowa City at MERGE, providing a welcoming and focused learning environment.

Groups will begin once enrollment is finalized, so early registration is encouraged.

Space is limited to ensure each student receives meaningful support.
