Registration Open Soon! Downtown Discovery camps turn no-school days into unforgettable adventures! Designed for curious, creative, and social kids, these full-day camps blend hands-on learning with real-world exploration in the heart of downtown Iowa City.
Campers will dive into interactive challenges, brain games, creative projects, and team-based activities—plus guided visits to some of our favorite local partner spots. From scavenger hunts and puzzles to art, movement, and sweet treats, every day is built around discovery, connection, and fun.
Perfect for upper-elementary and middle school students, Downtown Discovery camps offer a playful, enriching alternative to a typical day off from school—keeping kids engaged, active, and inspired while school is out.
Dates, themes, and registration coming soonEarly drop (8:30am) and late pickup (4:30pm) is available for $10.
GoldCap staff will meet parents outside of Merge to assist with pick-up and drop-off. Following registration, additional materials will be emailed to gather additional information about each student, and provide specific information about drop-off, pick-up and/or additional logsitics as needed.
