Amazing Iowa City Race + Sweets & Treats Experience

Get ready for a fast-paced downtown adventure inspired by team-based race challenges!

The Amazing Iowa City Race transforms downtown Iowa City into a high-energy mission where campers work in teams to solve riddles, search for clues, and unlock checkpoints throughout the PedMall and surrounding downtown spaces.

In the morning, teams will tackle clue-based challenges tied to local landmarks, participate in an ICPL scavenger challenge at the Iowa City Public Library, and explore the PedMall on team missions — including our LEGENDARY mini duck hunts. Campers will collaborate, strategize, and move through downtown as they complete race-style tasks and mini challenges.

We’ll break for lunch with pizza from Scouts Honor, enjoying a private pizza party at Camp Iowa City before gearing up for the afternoon finale.

In the afternoon, campers will enjoy a curated, behind-the-scenes visit to Sweets & Treats led by the owner. This special experience serves as the perfect sweet celebration after a day of teamwork, problem-solving, and friendly competition.

We will also make our way to some green spaces and a park near downtown if we have good weather!

Pick-up and Drop-Off will be at Camp Iowa City at 217 Iowa Ave downtown. Specific directions will be sent upon registration.

Upon registration, a student information form will be sent to the email address used for payment.
