Cozy Creations Camp: A No-School Day Adventure for 3rd-6th Graders!

Looking for a fun, engaging way to spend your no-school day? Join us for a day filled with warmth, frosty fun, and artistic imagination in the heart of downtown! This special camp, brought to you by GoldCap, Yotopia, Molly’s Cupcakes, and Amor Linguae, is a celebration of Nordic Hygge—a concept that embraces coziness, community, and contentment.

Our exciting day includes a special visit to Yotopia! Campers will enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of what goes into the day-to-day operations of downtown Iowa City’s BEST froyo.

Next, we’ll take a break to warm up at Molly’s Cupcakes, where a hot chocolate bar awaits! Each camper can customize their drink with an array of sweet toppings while soaking in the cozy atmosphere that makes Molly’s a local favorite.

In the afternoon, creativity takes center stage with a restorative recycled holiday art session led by Kate, along with Grace from Amor Linguae. Using repurposed materials, campers will design their own unique pieces of art to bring a little winter cheer back home.

Throughout the day, we’ll embrace the Hygge spirit with activities that encourage connection, calmness, and comfort. From group games and storytelling to creating cozy crafts, this camp is designed to foster a sense of togetherness while highlighting the best of what downtown has to offer.

This one-of-a-kind camp is the perfect blend of winter warmth, artistic expression, and downtown exploration. Don’t miss out—spaces are limited!

Students will bring their own lunch. Treats from Yotopia and Molly’s are included in registration cost.

GoldCap staff will meet parents outside of Merge to assist with pick-up and drop-off. Following registration, additional materials will be emailed to gather additional information about each student, and provide specific information about drop-off, pick-up and/or additional logsitics as needed.
